Why ISO 9001 Certification?
URS Certification Ireland seeks to register/certify organisations to ISO 9001 that are committed to process improvements as well as business and process risk management. All audits are process based with a risk focus. Certification with URS Certification Ireland comes with significant business focus, customer satisfaction and customer retention.
Some organisations seek to become registered to ISO standards for reasons that at times appear rather dubious and unconvincing, as against other organisations who use the tools supplied by the standards to drive their businesses in order to minimise waste, eliminate or control threats, and expand their customer bases: they understand and quantify the cost of quality.
Organisations that do not fully commit to the implementation of an organisational culture to take advantage of the requirements of the standards are, in our view, losing out on significant business opportunities offered by certification. All of us strive to improve on the quality of our products and services: by registering with us, URS Certification Ireland, can assist you in your endeavours.
The benefits of ISO 9001 certification requires products, materials, services, systems and people to be checked to establish if they measure up to the requirements of ISO 9001. For example, a customer may want to check that the product he or she ordered from a supplier is manufactured under the conditions required by ISO 9001. The customer may want to know if the employees are trained, if the costs are managed, if KPI’s are set, if management are involved if root causes of problems are identified and eliminated
Auditors and assessors deployed by URS Certification Ireland are therefore mandated in partnership with the client to examine client processes and activities as well as determining how you identify threats to those processes so that failures or defects in product and service provision are prevented.
All audits carried out by URS Certification (Ireland) are PROCESS based with a risk focus. ISO 9001 is the base standard for many others such as ISO 13485 (medical devices), AS 9100 (aerospace), TS 16949 (automotive), amongst others.
The ISO 9001 standard can be integrated with others such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 thereby ensuring all threats and future threats are managed in a proactive way. Standards will not serve organisations well unless used PROACTIVELY, to anticipate potential modes of failure, inefficiencies and waste.
